Donald Takayama

Donald Takayama grew up surfing the near-perfect waves of Waikiki in Hawaii and went on to become one of surfing’s most influential and renowned shapers. After a successful professional career, and years spent shaping for powerhouse labels of the era like Velzy and Jacobs surfboards, Donald created Hawaiin Pro Designs in 1970. Known most for his incredible noseriders, Takayama's shapes have stood the test of time and are more relevant than ever.
